What's up guys?!
Yesterday I posted that I went to the movies. I just want to recap something and share a vision;
As I sat there in my chair waiting for the film to start with my coca cola bottle in one hand and a bag of popcorn in the other, I came to think of something. Since you're rarely alone in the cinema, especially when you are watching a blockbuster movie, wouldn't it be great to socialize with people there? I'm not saying you should just start a conversation with the fellow next to you (surely you could, but that's not always appreciated). So why not do something all together before the movie starts? Something fun that everyone can enjoy and also capable of doing. Regardless of age.
Of course those who don't want to don't have to participate in the activity. What I had in mind.. Actually I don't really remember what I had in mind. But now that I'm thinking about it, it should be a game or something. We surely have the technology for it now so why not use it to have some fun with our fellow human beings and at the same time bring more people to the cinemas in terms of families, gather a bunch of friends and etc. I always thought it was a bit awkward to just sit down with a lot of people watching the same film, sharing the same experience (usually) but never to actually socialize with them. People gather but they don't really socialize.
To my surprise, I wasn't the only one thinking about this.. Obviously.. I recently found this clip where they've applied exactly what I was trying to describe. This concept is not applied everywhere in the world, but it should be something to think about. I find this very amusing. I rather do this instead of only watching tons of ads while waiting for the movie to start and I would probably go to the movies more often;
Speaking of innovation, this concept is certainly not a new one but nevertheless it's a very fun one. Mixing the everyday life with these kind of entertainment can make your day.
This is a clip from Stockholm, Sweden (where I'm writing this blog from). It's a campaign for using the stairs. They feel it's better to use the stairs instead of the escalator. It's a good thing for the young and the lazy, such as myself. So they came up with this idea, check it out;
This was shot at a subway station. Unfortunately, the text in the clip is in Swedish, but they explained that 66% more used the stairs and that happiness can obviously change the behavior, even if it's something small in the ordinary everyday life. They call it the Fun-theory.
Ima leave you with one of many of my favorite quotes;
"Music produces a kind of pleasure which human nature cannot do without" ~Confucius
Thanks for dropping by! This is Ajami!
